The 2025 Compass gets its quick acceleration and reliable performance from a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 engine, which provides 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. Because of its smaller size, this engine also delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, getting up to 32 MPG. Every drive is a quiet one with the eight-speed automatic transmission, which shifts smoothly between gears.

Ready for Off-Roading

The vehicle’s standard four-wheel-drive system makes an easy task out of some of the most demanding terrains, and for optimized performance when conditions change, there’s the Selec-Terrain feature. This system gives you multiple driving modes to choose from and is also standard. While every trim level is ready for off-roading, the Trailhawk trim in particular is more rugged than the others, as it comes with skid plates, an off-roading suspension system, and other extras.

Select upper trims have dual-zone climate control and offer heating and ventilation options for the front seats, as well as an available heated steering wheel. The interior comes in Black, Black with Sepia, or Black with Ruby Red, depending on the trim level, and seating materials range from premium cloth with vinyl to leather.

Ready to tackle the elements, this SUV has standard rain-sensitive wipers, auto headlamps, and heated side mirrors, and you can opt for a front wiper de-icer as well. Sunny days can be enjoyed with the dual-pane panoramic sunroof that’s available for most upper trims, and the standard manual liftgate can be replaced with the optional Foot Activated Open ‘N Go Liftgate for many of these trims as well.

Next-level technology takes center stage in the vehicle’s cabin. While you can use the infotainment system for entertainment and calling functions, there’s also the large 10.25-inch Color Driver Information Display, which is available for the Trailhawk and Limited trims.
